Belmont Shore Residents Association MINUTES GENERAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING September 10, 2009 The meeting was called to order by President Mike Ruehle at 6:00 pm. Approximately one hundred twenty BSRA members were present. Secretary Jeff Miller then described the election details and requirements as defined by the Association Bylaws, announced the slate of nominees, and called for additional nominees; none were offered. Marjorie Campbell complained that nominees were not given an opportunity to speak. Miller explained that candidates made campaign statements at the August meeting, which had been announced in advance. Miller then introduced Phyllis O'Connor of the League of Women Voters, who explained the election process. The League of Women Voters members conducted the election; polls were closed at 7 pm and then the ballots were counted by the League. The election results were announced shortly after 8 pm:
